Newberg Baseball

It’s the time of year when we begin looking for volunteers to serve on the Newberg Baseball Board. We currently have several board positions with terms expiring, as well as one position that has remained vacant.

Board positions generally serve two-year terms, with new members beginning in November.

Open Two-Year Positions

• Vice-President

• Treasurer

• Juniors/Seniors Field Director (Jaquith and Renne Fields)

• JBO Representative

• Equipment and Uniforms Coordinator

Open One-Year Position

This position is available for a one-year term as it was unfilled this year and is elected on a biannual basis: 

• Cal Ripken Fields Director (Dundee and Ewing Young Fields)

Nominations

Nominations are open now. Any active member of Newberg Baseball—including parents, coaches, and volunteers—may nominate an individual or be nominated for an open position.

If you are nominating someone else, please contact them first and make sure they give you permission to submit their name.

Another great way to learn more about the board is to attend one of our meetings. Our next meeting will be on Sunday, September 13, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. at Dundee Elementary School.

Thank you for supporting Newberg Baseball and considering giving your time to help our organization!

We're excited to announce the Newberg Youth Baseball Golf Tournament, happening October 4, 2026 at Chehalem Glenn.

This is our biggest fundraiser of the year, and every dollar raised goes directly toward improving our fields, upgrading equipment, and keeping baseball accessible for all our kids.

How to get involved:

• Play: Put together a team! We'll play Best Ball format, with mulligans, an Air Drop raffle, and prizes for top finishers. Boxed lunches included. Registration details coming soon.
• Sponsor: Support the program while gaining visibility in our community. Sponsorship  details are coming soon.
• Volunteer: This event doesn't run itself — whether it's helping plan the tournament, fundraising, or reaching out to local businesses for sponsorships and donations, contact Andy Willette at vicepresident@newbergbaseball.com.
• Lead: We're also looking for someone interested in learning the ropes from Andy to eventually take over running this event in future years. If that sounds like you, reach out to Andy directly.
