Getting Involved
Newberg Baseball is an amazing organization. It's amazing for two reasons: our players and our volunteers. Help make Newberg Baseball a little more amazing by volunteering with us. Here are some ways you can do that.
Help at practice
A team could always use another helper on the field, whether that be:
- Shagging balls
- Playing catch
- Running a station
Become a Coach, or an Assistant Coach
Every team needs a leader, and that leader needs assistant leaders. We are always in need of more Coaches, especially at the TBall and Rookie level. Not ready to take the reins quite yet? That's OK! Become an Assistant Coach to test the waters.
Look for an email about registrations as the season approaches to become a Coach or Assistant Coach.

Become an Umpire
The only paid position in Newberg Baseball. We are always looking to increase our Umpire ranks. We will get you trained up both out in the field and behind the plate. If you are interested, let us know through the Contact Page and we will get you in touch with our Umpire Coordinator.
Prepare the fields for play
After a wet and cold Oregon winter, our ball fields need a lot of love to get them ready for the upcoming season. Our Fields Coordinator(s) will schedule one set of fields per weekend to clean up. Look for an email from them and come help get your player's field ready for an amazing season.
Run the concession stand
Concessions are a great way for the league to earn more money. Volunteer to run the concession stand during your player's game at either Dundee Billick or Renne Fields. Both concession stands have great views of the field, so you wont miss the action!
Become a sponsor
A sponsorship is a great way to get your business advertised at our Newberg Baseball fields; you'll also earn a spot on our website's list of sponsors. If you are interested in becoming a sponsor, send an email to our Vice President at vicepresident@newbergbaseball.com
Come to a board meeting
Board meetings are held every second Sunday of the month, with adjustments made if the second Sunday is a Holiday or major event like the Superbowl. We meet in person at Dundee Elementary school and send out links to join virtually.

Every October, half of our board positions come up for reelection for a two year term. Most positions are uncontested, and some have no nominees. If you feel you have a great set of skills that could improve Newberg Baseball, we would love to have you join our board.
